Nourishment as a Sacred Practice

Everything we take in shapes us. Not just food, but social media, conversations, music, and the environments we choose. Practicing Saucha means becoming aware of how our inner landscape responds to what we consume. When we begin to choose nourishment over noise, we support our own clarity and well-being.
On the Mat: Mindful Flow (15 min)
Begin with 5 grounding breaths in Tadasana
Move through 2–3 slow Sun Salutations A with pauses in each pose
Include Low Lunge, Pyramid Pose, and Legs Up the Wall
End in Savasana with hands over heart and belly, repeating the mantra silently
Off the Mat: Conscious Consumption
Choose one day this week to mindfully “clean up” your media and food intake. Opt for one simple, nourishing meal and 24 hours without social media or TV. Take note of how you feel afterward.
Our mantra for the week is…
What I consume—body, mind, and soul—nourishes my clarity and peace.
Our journaling prompts are…
What am I feeding my body, mind, and heart today?
What kind of media or conversations uplift me?
What could I remove to create more space for peace?
And our meditation is…a meditation to allow the body to notice conscious consumption.
Place one hand on your belly and one on your heart. With each inhale, repeat: “I nourish.” With each exhale: “I release.” Let the body feel into the rhythm of conscious consumption—notice what you truly need to feel balanced. Allow the mantra to root into your intention to choose nourishment, not just fuel.
