Grounding Yoga for Spring: How to Feel Rooted and Supported in Nature

As winter softens and spring slowly unfolds, nature reminds us that growth doesn’t happen overnight. Seeds root before they bloom. Trees stand steady before they leaf out.
At Bee Well, our March theme invites you into a grounding yoga practice that supports nervous system regulation, stress relief, and deep connection to the earth. When life feels busy or uncertain, grounding practices help us return to steadiness.
This month, we root down before we rise.
Our mantra for the week is…
I am rooted, supported, and connected to the earth.
Repeat this during standing poses, long exhales, or moments of overwhelm.
Our journaling prompts are…
Where in nature do I feel safest and most supported?
What helps me feel grounded when stress rises?
What am I quietly growing beneath the surface right now?
And our meditation is…a 10 minute grounding meditation to feel supported and safe in our bodies
Sit comfortably with both feet planted on the floor.
Close your eyes.
Lengthen your spine.
Inhale slowly for 5. Exhale for 7.
Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet deep into the earth.
See them spreading wide and steady.
With each inhale, draw up nourishment.
With each exhale, release tension down into the soil.
Repeat silently: I am rooted. I am supported.
Stay for several minutes before gently opening your eyes.
