We have been conditioned to critique our reflection, to measure, compare, evaluate, and judge. But your body has never asked to be perfect — it has only ever asked to be loved.
Compassion is a practice. Each time you notice self-criticism and choose a kinder inner voice instead, you strengthen your relationship with your body.
Our mantra for the week is…
I release judgment and meet my body with compassion.
Your body is doing the best it can — and so are you.
Our journaling prompts are…
What judgments do I most often place on my body?
If my body could speak, what compassion might it ask for?
How can I respond to my body the way I would respond to a dear friend?
And our meditation is…a meditation to practice compassion for your body
Place your hands gently over your heart.
Breathe in slowly…
Breathe out fully…
Bring to mind a part of your body you often judge — a place that holds tenderness or insecurity.
Now whisper inwardly:
“I’m learning to meet you with compassion.”
Feel warmth in your hands.
Let compassion be the tone of your breath.
Let acceptance be the space you rest in.
Take a few more slow breaths.
Release gently when you’re ready.
