Living with Integrity and Generosity

When we embody Asteya, we no longer need to grasp for more—we become a source of enough-ness. This final week is about living with integrity, which means aligning our actions with our values, and about generosity, which flows naturally when we feel rooted and fulfilled.

Asteya isn’t just about not taking; it’s also about giving—our attention, our presence, our joy, and our compassion—freely and from the heart.

Weekly Yoga Practice: When we feel full, we naturally give freely.

Practice Focus:

  • Expansive Vinyasa Flow: Sequences that open front and side body (Gate Pose, Wild Thing, Side Plank variations).

  • Sun Salutations: Move fluidly but with deep, intentional breaths.

  • Mudra: Padma (Lotus Mudra) — symbolizing openness and compassion.

Breathwork:

Loving-kindness breath: With each inhale, send compassion to yourself; with each exhale, send compassion outward.

Closing Reflection: Where can I offer my gifts more freely? Where can I receive life’s offerings more openly?

Our mantra for the week is…

I give with joy. I receive with grace.

Our journaling prompts are…

Where do I feel called to give more openly—from a place of love, not obligation?

What gift or truth am I holding back that the world might need?

And our meditation is…a meditation to give love to yourself and the world around you

Loving-Kindness meditation. Silently repeat: “May I be happy. May I be safe. May I feel enough.”

Then extend those same wishes to a loved one, a stranger, and someone you find challenging.
