Do you feel guilty when you rest? Have you been taught that rest must be earned?
Your body doesn’t operate on productivity rules. It operates on rhythm.
👉 If you’re new to this work, start with [The Power of Stillness →]
👉 Next, explore how to identify your needs in [What Kind of Rest Do You Need? →]
Our mantra for the week is…
Rest is my birthright
On the mat practice: support & surrender
Legs Up the Wall (8–10 min)
Hips slightly elevated
Hands resting softly
Optional eye pillow
Supported Child’s Pose (5–7 min)
Bolster under chest
Head turned or supported
Reclined Bound Angle (5–8 min)
Props under knees
One hand heart, one belly
Savasana (10 min)
Fully supported
Cover with blanket
Focus Cue: “Rest is my birthright.”
Off the mat practice: release one thing
Release One Thing:
→Let go of one obligation that isn’t essential
Rest Without Explanation:
→Notice when you feel the need to justify rest
→Practice not explaining
Evening Wind-Down Ritual (10 min):
→Dim lights
→Sit or lie down
→Breathe slowly
Our journaling prompts are…
What beliefs do I hold about rest?
When do I feel “allowed” to rest?
What would shift if I gave myself permission today?
And our meditation is…a meditation to receive rest (8 min)
Place one hand on your heart, one on your belly.
Inhale slowly through your nose.
Exhale gently through your mouth.
Silently repeat:
Inhale: I receive
Exhale: I soften
Feel your body being supported.
Notice any resistance—no need to fix it.
Just soften around it.
Let yourself be held.
