Desire isn’t wrong—it’s part of being human. But when desire turns into grasping, we lose our center. The practice of Brahmacharya helps us find contentment in stillness, especially in the space between poses, breaths, and thoughts.
Weekly Yoga Practice: A Meditative Flow to Cultivate the Pause
This flow focuses on transitions and breath:
Begin with Cat-Cow
Move through Sun Salutation A slowly, pausing in each pose
Warrior I → Humble Warrior → Standing Forward Fold
End with seated meditation and Savasana
Linger in the transitions—notice the space between poses as the true practice.
Our mantra for the week is…
Between every desire is a doorway to peace.
Our journaling prompts are…
What desires am I chasing that don’t actually lead to peace?
What do I feel when I stop striving and simply sit?
How can I honor the sacred pause between actions?
And our meditation is…a meditation to let go and find stillness
Practice breath awareness. Inhale… pause… exhale… pause. Linger in the stillness between breaths. Notice what arises in the quiet.
